Filmmaking for the Actor - 6 Week Intensive and Film Showcase

This unique filmmaking course is geared towards the actor who is striving to produce their own productions professionally. For this course, as an actor creating your own work, you will learn to successfully become the director, the crew, and the actor, as well as the tools needed to work together in each position. This becomes an asset for you, as you discover screenwriting, camera angles, lighting, editing, along with acting, and all the techniques necessary to bring your vision to life and produce a film. This will train you how to direct when you work with a crew and cast in the future, or become familiar and confident as an actor when collaborating with directors and the production team on set.

There is a feedback ticket, as well as an auditor ticket. The feedback ticket is for those that want to get feedback during the classes, and it is limited to 8 people, and the auditor ticket is for those that want to watch, but will not get feedback.

This class will be taught by Jennifer Joy O'Grady, including input from Eliana Ghen during some of the sessions.

Jennifer Joy O'Grady holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema & Television Production. She is an actor, director, writer, and producer who has created award winning short films, as well as an eight-part episodic series, Saudade. Jennifer is also the founder and CEO of Open Door Film Productions, a visual storytelling company that has conceptualized and produced multiple films, commercials, and marketing for companies nationwide. Jennifer has over seven years of professional experience teaching and training young children, teens, and young adults in Acting for TV & Film, Screenwriting and Film Production.
